Once there was a rabbit called Shakes.
One day Shakes managed to get out of his cage!
His owner Ruby didn’t see. He went and dug a hole in the back yard.
When Shakes had finished he was very tired so he went to sleep. When he woke up he found himself in a completely different world!
Shakes liked his new home but his missed his owner. The other rabbits said “cheer up and come and play with us”!
Shakes didn’t cheer up but all the same he did go and play with them.
He did not know but they were bad mannered bunnies!
Day after day, Shakes stayed and got more and more bad mannered. Until one day Ruby saw a rumpled patch of earth and dug it up.
Guess what? It was the patch where Shakes had been digging! So she got Shakes out and put him back in his cage. From then onwards Shakes never ever tried to get out of his cage again!
