600 years ago there was a rabbit called Shakes. Shakes liked to go adventuring so planned a plan. It was a cheeky plan, a very very cheeky plan!
So he went out to the forest, he dug a hole, a very big hole.
He climbed into the hole. A big boulder fell on him and he couldn’t get out, so he waited for someone to lift the boulder.
He had been waiting til lunchtime, so he decided to dig his way out.
He ended up in vege land where there were other rabbits munching and crunching on lettuce, tomatoes and a cucumber.
He saw apple trees so he climbed up the tree and he picked up an apple and flew away!
He landed in a prickle bush and he got prickles all over his bottom. After that he sat down on a seat and read a couple of magazines and the newspaper. Then he flew to the moon to see the stars.

Shakes came back to Ruby. “Shakes” Ruby said and she put him in the cage. She fed him and gave him a hug.

He was so small he lived in a dust speck.
One day he nearly fell down a waterfall, so an elephant came along and saved Shakes. The rabbit Shakes said “Hi, I am a rabbit”.

Shakes the little bunny rabbit was very normal now. Shakes the fluffy bunny rabbit fell into a really big huge plump of fluffy fluff. Shakes the tiny bunny rabbit was glowing white.
Shakes the tiny bunny rabbit wanted to go home in his snuggly cage. Shakes the tiny little bunny rabbit jumped into a symmetrical mirror in a medium house. Shakes the bunny rabbit could not find his way out of the medium house. But he jumped out of the medium house.

But the door of his cage had been left open by mistake. Shakes fell out of his cage into a wishing well.
He sunk to the bottom of the wishing well because he couldn’t swim. As soon as he reached the bottom there was no water just sand.
Then he wished for something and Shakes said his wish “I wish I had a jumbo jet” and shakes saw something very new.
Shakes saw his huge jumbo jet and the plane wasn’t any old jet the giant jet plane was a rabbit jumbo jet. Shakes knew the jet plane was his own.
Soon shakes was flying with heaps of cute rabbits on board and Shakes was the best rabbit pilot ever. After three days the rabbits landed in the Catlins where the cowboys lived.
All the cute rabbits (including Shakes) soon were great horse riders. Their leader was the awesome Shakes.
Now when you see a cute rabbit riding a horse in the Catlins you will know that’s Shakes the awesome rabbit.

Heaps and heaps and heaps of years ago Shakes was climbing up a tree and he found a hole with a squirrel in it.
He could see a volcano in the trees. It was going to rumble and stop the animals and catch them. Shakes could see the fire and he could hear the fire. He did not know what to do but then he knew what to do. There were more animals who lived by the volcano.
Shakes had to go and save the animals he went over there to tell the animals, he did that, they ran away as fast as they could. Then they were saved.
Shakes played with them all day and all night. They never went to sleep they just played together every day.
When it was dark they didn’t know it was bedtime. They couldn’t see anything so they went to bed.
And that was the end of Shakes the rabbit and Ruby the owner.

Next he was a rabbit, a fantastic rabbit. Then he fell underwater. Shakes made a lot of friends and then he flew to America.

Shakes saw a satellite, he went to see what it was then the satellite caught him. The satellite changed Shakes into something different.
Then he went into a different satellite, it put Shakes into a different world that looked familiar.
Shakes loved this world because he was in his own world.
He hopped inside and he was really happy for the rest of his life and never dug a hole ever again.

Soon he found a different world. Shakes thought for a minute. I’m lost. He walked around the world. He was so sad that he lost his home he lost his owner. He looked ahead. That’s funny, that’s a upside down plane!
This is a very strange world. Look over there said shakes. There’s a cream pie.
At his home Ruby found the hole that Shakes dug. She even found the door! She saw a fluffy little thing. Its Shakes she said.
She picked him up and gave him a hug. Ruby and Shakes went on the upside down plane that was pretty funny.
